Just a short ferry ride from Fremantle or Perth, Rottnest Island has long been Western Australia’s holiday destination of choice.

We left from Northport as B Shed is currently having work done. The signs to the ferry terminal are clear. Plenty of parking at this time of the year. $42.00 for three days to park the car. We went back to B shed to pick up the passengers there. The ride over was bumpy, which the skipper warned us about, but it still only 30 minutes, and the ferry handled it easily. The ride back was calm and easy, 25 minutes to Northport. Ferries clean, staff friendly, Rottnest beautiful as always!

I feel a small information video, especially to show details of the bike setup, is imperative in my opinion. ie. front brake should look like this (mine was undone) Here are the gears, where they are and how they work etc. While people are waiting in the queue they can watch this video.

We actually used the Northport terminal. Had a good trip over with reasonably calm conditions. Staff are usually pretty professional and friendly and run a tight ship, pun intended. We were only on a day-trip as staying over is very expensive, however we always have a great time and if the weather is favourable we enjoy the ferry trips too.

Thank you so much to Rottnest Express for a wonderful day on the island! From lovely Matty giving us a flat white and a water on the very first boat of the morning, to the amazing bike crew - shout out to Jacob and the bike tech lads for the excellent bikes! They were brand new and such a dream to ride around the island. The toilets smelt lovely, and the air conditioning was amazing after a hot day cycling around. The staff were absolutely wonderful with our toddler twins, always keeping them safe and looked after. The girls also loved picking out some lovely treats from the shop - especially their Quokka Club bunnies! It’s so great to see all the new upgrades at the terminal too. We love you, Rottnest Express - thank you so much for making our family day so special!

フェリーターミナルのお姉さんは愛想がなくとてもぶっきらぼうで、先行き不安になりましたが、ロットネスト島行きの船員に問題はなかったです。ロットネスト島の荷物ピックアップのお兄さんはとても親切に対応してくれました。当日朝乗る便を変更してその説明をした際、私の拙い英語を汲んで対応してくれました。最も良くなかったのは、帰りのロットネスト島からフリーマントル行きの便の船員（若いお兄さん）です。海況が良くなく、とても揺れるという船内アナウンスがあり、船員が乗客にエチケット袋を配布していましたが、私を含むアジア人には配布されませんでした。まぁ残念ながらそういう人いるよね。

WoW, just WoW, from being picked up in the morning and taken to the ferry, to receiving a great mini feast of information from Malcolm, our guide, who then stepped it up a gear on the Rottnest Island Tour Bus, to having lunch at Frankies to our ferry ride back to Perth, a fantastic day out, well done on creating this but a special well done to Malcolm who had a terrific amount of enthusiasm whilst imparting information to us all.
