Due to the summer period parking will be extremely busy in and around our Fremantle terminal, we encourage you to leave plenty of time to find appropriate parking or alternatively travel out of our Northport terminal in Rous Head for ample parking options.
For day-trippers and passengers coming from south of the Swan River, B Shed is the most convenient Rottnest Island departure point. It’s also close to Fremantle train station, so if you’re arriving via public transport you’ll be just a short walk from your ferry. Very limited long-term parking is available from $12 per day with Wilson Parking.

Barrack Street Jetty is in a prime position on the Perth riverfront, next to the booming Elizabeth Quay tourist precinct. Rottnest Express staff are on hand to help you make the most of your visit to Perth and Rottnest, as you sidestep Perth’s traffic and enjoy a picturesque Swan River cruise en route to the island. Parking can be tight in downtown Perth, but public transport is nearby – both the Elizabeth Quay train station and the Barrack Street Jetty stop on the free Blue CAT bus line. A free city hotel pickup service is also available.

The Rottnest Express Ferry has several parking options available. The most convenient parking option is the dedicated car park located at Northport in Rous Head, which is a departure point for the Rottnest Express Ferry in Fremantle. This facility offers a secure carpark with over 400 spots suitable for day or extended stay travel at an affordable rate. Alternatively, for travel from B Shed there are several car parks located within walking distance of the B-Shed. It is important to note that parking availability can be limited during peak periods, so it is recommended to arrive early and plan travel accordingly.
The Rottnest Express ferry leaves from several locations in Western Australia, including Fremantle (from two locations) and Perth City. The exact departure point depends on the chosen departure location.
B Shed is located in Fremantle, Western Australia. It is situated on Victoria Quay, adjacent to the Fremantle Passenger Terminal.
