‘The aim of the Rottnest Conservation Foundation is to retain and enhance the Island’s essence for future generations by funding environmental, cultural and heritage projects.’
The Foundation is a voluntary organisation that was established in 1985 by a group of volunteers passionate about Rottnest Island. Its key goals are;
- To fund and support environmental, cultural and heritage projects on Rottnest Island;
- To raise awareness of the Rottnest Conservation Foundation’s role in supporting the conservation of Rottnest’s natural and cultural assets; and
- Build and maintain support for the Foundation’s fundraising activities for Rottnest Island.
You can become a ‘Friend of Rottnest’ and join the Foundation in its work to assist with important conservation projects on Rottnest.
